Online launch of The Midway Point
On Tuesday 23 November, the National Marine Science Committee (NMSC) will launch the culmination of our past year’s work, the National Marine Science Plan 2015-2025: The Midway Point. We’ll also publish a revamped NMSC website.
The Midway Point is a review and progress update of the National Marine Science Plan 2015-2025. The NMSC launched this decadal plan for developing Australia’s blue economy in 2015.
The Midway Point celebrates the Plan’s achievements so far, highlights increasing threats and new opportunities, and identifies next steps for driving the Plan’s success. It also aligns with the global efforts to sustainably manage our oceans and harness the great economic, environmental and social benefits of a strong blue economy. To support the launch of The Midway Point, we are giving the existing NMSC website an extensive makeover. The new site will be live on November 23, so stay tuned.
The awareness and success of The Midway Point depends on the support of our wider community of marine scientists and stakeholders.
